Travel DIary: A Mini Trip to Bali

Bali. Who doesn't know about that beautiful island? I bet everyone of you, who read this post, know about Bali. Even people from outside of Indonesia know Bali better than they know about its country, Indonesia. People love this beautiful island, from local tourists up to foreign tourists. It isn't just about the beaches, but the nature and culture wealth of Bali. Then in my long weekend holiday, i decided to went to Bali. 

The story started from Denpasar. I went to Bali with my two partners, Oemi and Amirah. We went there by night excecutive bus, i recommend you the vehicle because it's so cozy.. Well, it was the first time i ride the bus then i was so tacky. The journey from Malang to Bali takes time about 14 hours, so i arrived in Bali about 9 am. 

First day! I went to arround Kuta, the most famous beach i guess. Before i enjoy the beach, i went to beachwalk shopping center, located in front of the beach. I was so hungry so we ate Sushi Tei in there then i walked to the beach. Unfortunately, the beach was not as pretty as a long time ago, when i was elementary school. But it's alraight, the beach was still crowded. It means people still love the beach altough the beach was a little dirty. It's okay to watch the sun goes down there. People sat down on the beach sand, joked with friends, enjoyed the beauty of the hustle bustle of Kuta. Oya, i met my friend there, Nadia! She was on vacation too with her friends. 

Second day! I visited Single Fin, Blue Point Beach, Garuda Wisnu Kencana and the legend restaurant in Bali, Ayam Betutu Khas Gilimanuk. Oya,at first, i apologize that i didn't take so many photos there. I too enjoyed the vacation, so i didn't too focus to take photos of every moment there. But don't worry, i still have so many good stories to tell you about.Well, back to the story. First, i went to Single Fin, it was a nice cafe with a beautiful view of Blue Point Beach. You can enjoy the view by sitting at the top of the cliff (Single Fin located at the clif). Better you enjoy the view when the sun shine brightly while enjoying a bowl of tropical smoothies bowl by Nalu Bowls in there.

Then i went to Garuda Wisnu Kencana. It's tourist attractions in the form of some of the sculptures that will be combined into one big statue, it will beat the Liberty Statue! First, I watched about Garuda story in theater. The movie told about the legend of Garuda and God Vishnu. Then i visited the statue and took photos around there. The last, i enjoyed Bali traditional dance performances. After visited Garuda Wisnu Kencana, i went to Ayam Betutu Khas Gilimanuk restaurant. Betutu is a Balinese dish of steamed or roasted chicken or duck, served with nuts and Matah sauce (sauce from onions). It's a typical Balinese cuisine.

Third day! I visited Ubud! I had long wanted to see the beauty and tranquility of Ubud. After watched Perahu Kertas and Eat Pray Love movie, i knew that Ubud is deserve to visited. Well, then i went to Ubud with different partners. I went there with Oem and my friends who live in Bali, they are Yasin, Farid, Irwan and Wildan. Then i went there, it's true that Ubud is beautiful with its green natural state. I hiked Campuhan Hill and saw the view of Ubud in there, villas and restaurants among green trees. Then there were so many art gallery in there. I chose Antonio Blanco as our next destination to visit. You can enter the museum with Rp 30.000 if you are local touristBlanco is a legend painter of Spanish and American descenden. He spent his life in Ubud and married to his painting model, Ni Rondji, She's a famous Balinese dance in her day. Well, i enjoyed the museum. About paintings, bird park, cool painting studio, and a small glass of syrup in Rondji restaurant with green-trees-in-beautiful-Ubud. 

Fourth day! It's our last day in Bali:( (well, it's not really, till you know the truth i'll tell you in the next part). I only had a few hours to explore Bali before i back to the fvck reality. So, i went to place that i hadn't visit yet. Yup, i went to explore Seminyak. First, i enjoyed Double Six Beach. Sitting in cute colorful sofa while drinking cool strawberry juice in outskirts of the beach when the sun was shining brightly felt like i was in world heaven. Then i walked to around there to hunt knick knacks like necklaces, bracelets, earrings, dreamcatchers and tribal outwear. 

Well, i thought the time was over, it was time to back home and get ready to go back the reality. Then i went my friend's home and went to Bus Terminal. Unfortunately, my bus leaved me because we came to there late. So we decided to extend our vacation there. Joy or sorrow? I prefer joy. I regarded it as sustenance lol. 

Fifth Day! This day was really our last day. We didn't explore Bali much, we just went back to Seminyak and got more things which we didn't have time to buy it before. 

It's really a short holiday for me because you can full explore this island only in few days. It's better for you to go to bali step by step, i mean like first you can explore South Bali, then the next holiday you can explore East Bali, etc. Then it's better to make list before you arrive in there. There are so many places you've visit if you wanna go to have holiday in Bali. Visiting beaches, enjoying sunset, taking photos in cute cafes, eating the typical cuisines, learn the culture, dancing the traditional dances. Yes, because Bali will never run out of its charm:)
