Tumurun Private Museum : Amazed in Every Amazing Detail

If you ask me what my favorite city is, I'll definitely answer Solo! A city with "A Spirit of Java" as a motto, Solo really gives me a spirit whenever I visit it. It's not only about tourism, but how much I love the culture and uniqueness of the city and the warmness of its society.

A few times ago, I visited one of the hidden gems in Solo; Tumurun Private Museum. "Why is it called a private museum?"

The name, Tumurun, came from "Turun Menurun". In Bahasa, "Turun Menurun" has a meaning of inherited from a generation to generation. Tumurun is a private museum of  a child one of biggest textile company founder in Asia, Sritex. It is a place to put the private art collection of the family. It's called a private museum because like I've explained before that at first it was not a public museum, but this time the public can visit this museum.

How To Visit It
As a private museum, you can't visit the museum whenever you want. You have to make a reservation based on the schedule provided. You can make a reservation by reaching the contact number that provided in http://www.tumurunmuseum.com/. In one time visit, the number of people that can visit the museum is around 10 - 15. We'll be guided with a guide who will explain about the museum and the collection in it.

Price
FREE! We aren't charged because the goal of the museum is educating the society, not a commercial purpose.

When i came, i even didn't believe that it was a museum that the public can visit because the building was so covered and there wasn't even a name board that writing of the museum name. But when i entered (even i just passed the fence, not entering the main building yet), my eyes opened wider immediately. "Tumurun is amazing" i thought. White aesthetic-minimalist building with so many beautiful details in it.

*Fyi, sorry for some not-original-by-me photos of the building, because i was too focus and enjoyed the detail of the amazing collection in it :p*

And when i entered the museum, i knew that why people called it a hidden gem in Solo. The guide told us that:

"When we buy an art collection, it means that we buy a life of the artist."

Yes! Because the artist needs a long time and a gold idea to make one masterpiece. That's why art always makes me amazed in every detail of it, and also why i say "amazed in every amazing detail" in this post title.
