3 Cities in 3 Days (Kuala Lumpur - Pattaya - Bangkok)

After finishing my college obligation, final essay or I call it script-shit or script-sweet, I consider to travel again. On this trip, I went with the family. Finally, our family had time because my brother was in the day off college and father was retired from his work. We used one of tour and travel service in this trip to Thailand.

Wat Arun Temple in Thailand

We went there with other travel members. We all were guided by Ms.Reko. She is originally Thai people but she speaks Indonesian pretty fluently. Well, let's start the journey story!

At first, Thailand was the only one our destination, until finally less than 24 hours before the airline called us and told that our flight was rescheduled so we would fly earlier than a normal schedule. At first, we got upset and confused, until we realized that we as human beings should always be grateful because everything is God's plan. Yup, disaster became a boon. How can it be? The story started from we booked a flight to Bangkok at 11 pm with a transit flight in Malaysia for 2 hours. Then our flight rescheduled and we would fly earlier at 4:30 am with 9 hours transit, where our house was very far away from the airport and we were confused because we had not started to pack at all and how we get to the airport in the very early day. Finally, we decided to go to the airport in the middle of the night by Grab and slept at the airport.

KUALA LUMPUR
Arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), we decided to head for the city by bus. The price of a bus ticket to KL Sentral destination is 10RM. While we were in a trip to KL Sentral, we saw parts of Kuala Lumpur. Another option to go around Kuala Lumpur is use GO KL bus, a free bus that is dedicated to go around Kuala Lumpur. I might say it was better option to go around and look Kuala Lumpur. It was my first experience using transit flight, so we made some mistakes (yes I can not do the survey first to make the trip more effective and efficient). Next mistake, I didn't know that the bus was indirect bus to KL Sentral. I forgot where we transited but it took pretty much time. So we only had enough time to visit Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). To reach KLCC, we had to use LRT from KL Sentral. The ticket price of LRT from KL Sentral to KLCC is 2.40 RM. At KLCC we just walked around the mall, enjoyed the view at the Petronas Twin Towers, and ate a plate of Hainan rice with chicken in there.

The one and only proper photo in KL :)

Because the time was short, then we decided to return to the airport using KLIA Express, a train to the airport with 55RM ticket prices. Actually, the price of KLIA Express is 5 times more expensive than a bus but it can save your time up to 50% than a normal time you need if you go to the airport by bus. You can arrive at the airport in 33 minutes, while you need more than 1 hour if use the bus. After that, we continued our journey to Bangkok.

PATTAYA
We landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok. After that, we headed off to the hotel and took a rest. In the next day, we went to Pattaya. Located about 100 km from Bangkok, Pattaya is on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Pattaya is a resort city which offers you so many attractive places and interesting things to do there. I used to tour and travel service on this trip so i could go to many places in a short time, but i visited the places also in a short time. Places i visited in Pattaya are listed below.

1. Nong Nooch Village
In addition to the famous historical tour of the temples relics of the past, in Thailand there are also many interesting places other forms of love if not visited. These places offer privileges with their own character. One of them is Nong Nooch Village. Nong Nooch Village is a landscaped park. The entire area is more like a theme park, with cultural and elephant shows, restaurants and accommodation as well as a vast area showcasing individually themed gardens. The things we did there are watched the cultural and elephant show, and had lunch. Unfortunately, we didn't have much time to explore the beautiful botanical park:(

2. Silver Lake Vineyard
After we had lunch at Nong Nooch, the next destination is Silver Lake Vineyard. Silver Lake is a vineyard with Italian style building around it. The owner of this vineyard is Supansa Nuengpirom, one of the senior artists in Thailand. Because we used to tour and travel service, so we didn't have much time. We only visited the yard of this place, and enjoyed a glass of grape juice and saw one of the best beautiful view we had ever seen.

Beautiful mountain, lake and grape farm view

3. Pattaya Floating Market
Next is Pattaya Floating Market! Like another floating market, there were so many food, souvenir and cloth sellers there. Also, you can enjoy for a boat ride around the lake. But still, it was fun to explore the market. My principle is you will never exactly the same in different place. Btw i enjoyed the local cuisines here, mango sticky rice and takoyaki with baby octopus on it. OMG so yummmm!

4. Big Bee Farm
Big Bee Farm is a place of honey farms variety of world-quality properties. As the name suggests, this place is devoted to the process of breeding various types of bees to eventually produce honey that can cure various types of diseases that exist. You can find the farm bees, museums, and shop there. Btw the guide told us that 9th King of Thailand (Rama IX of Thailand), Bhumibol Adulyadej, is the first bee and honey expert in Thailand. He learned about bees and honey, then taught to his people. Btw, after this visit i understand how much Thai people love him and I'm starting to love him too. He was a great king!

5. Pattaya Beach
The only thing that I know about Pattaya Beach is Lover Boy music video from my Phum Viphurit lol. Other than that, the beach and around looks alike Kuta in Bali. Yes, beach, people,
shops, cafes and hotels along the coastal road. The unique of some cafes here is you can enjoy a Thai Boxing show while drinking and talking with your mates.

With Ms.Reko (a woman with jeans shirt) and team!

6. Art In Paradise
Art in Paradise is a 3D art place. The paints were drawn by 15 professional artists who initiated 3D painting in Korea and Thailand. Actually, it almost the same as the other 3D art, but it's okay to whittle away 1 hour here.

7. Sohotown aka Chinatown
I bet you already meet Chinatown everywhere. Yes, Chinatown is everywhere and always a fun place for me. The difference of Sohotown (or Chinatown called in Pattaya) among other Chinatown is they offer you so many yummy sea foods and OMG helps me, I can't. Btw, if you're Muslim don't forget to ask wether the food is halal. You can simply ask "no pork?" to the seller because mostly sellers can't speak English well. But if you use tour and travel service, just no worry because they will guide you to halal restaurant.

Fresh and tempting seafood were very abundant here

Well, after I visited Sohotown we had dinner in the halal restaurant at A-One hotel and headed off to the hotel and slept. In the next morning, we visited Gems Gallery Pattaya.

8. Gems Gallery Pattaya
The only thing appeared in my mind was this is a most boring place I'll visit and surprisingly it was wrong! Gems Gallery won't only offer you a salesman who will seduce you to bring back expensive gems home, but also science and knowledge of gems. You will be taken around by train and will be explained about how to manufacture gems from upstream to downstream to how the use of gems in the world. Other than that, you'll also see directly how workers manufacture gems into jewelry.

After that, we stopped in the dry food market and continued the journey back to Bangkok.

BANGKOK
We only had a half day in this city. So we didn't visit places as many as in Pattaya. In Bangkok, we visited some historic and religious building, also shopped. While in Pattaya, we visited some educating, art and culinary places, also natures. Listed below shows what places visited and what things we did in Bangkok.

1. Wat Arun and Chao Praya River
The way to get to Wat Arun is across the Chao Phraya by boat. The ticket price was 4 Baht, it was include commute trip price. The real name of this place is Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamahavihara. It's so long and i can't remember it. The detail pattern of this Buddhist temple was so beautiful so i wasn't surprised that this is one of Bangkok's most recognizable landmarks.

Actually there were Grand Palace and Wat Pho (Reclining Budha) near Wat Arun, but unfortunately that we didn't have much time so we didn't stop.

2. Wat Traimit (Golden Budha)
Wat Traimit is a temple of Golden Budha. The temple was built after they found a golden Buddha statue which was forgotten for many years. The guide told us that all started from when Thailand was in a war. Golden Budha was made from 550 Kg of Gold and they were afraid that enemy would steal or break the Buddha (if I'm not mistaken), so they covered up the Buddha with cement. Then many years later, people know it as a usual Budha made from cement and forget it until the Budha fell and slightly damaged so the gold started seeing. So people finally know that it was a Golden Budha and built this temple.

3. MBK Mall
MBK Centre or Ma Boon Khrong Center is one of the shopping centers in Bangkok. It is perhaps one of Bangkok's top tourist's destination, but I didn't really enjoy this place because I don't really like the mall. So my brother and I decided to went around along the street outside the mall. I stopped off at one of the markets near MBK ( i forget its name lol) and ate an oyster omelet with rice. Mmm so good and tasty :9 well I love Thai food much.

4. Nanta Show
As per my understanding, Nanta Show comes from Korea. I don't really know how this show hold in Thailand and the tour and travel service made this show as one of the destination lists. But it was okay because the show was fun! So Nanta is a group of artists performing non-vocal music, consisting only of rhythm and tap, and the story is about comedy in cooking. Btw we were forbidden to take photos during the show so I took the show photo from Google and captured the after show
